I just used the -list command to see all of my installed sites and I was counting them by hand one by one to find how many they are. So, I was thinking that it would be nice to have more information about the sites. for example, something like that:

Now, when doing "site site1.com -info" on a specific site, it could give more details about all of the other options set to the specific site (database info, yoast sitemap option or even info fetched from wp-config.php, like whether it has wp-debug turned on or not etc). Don't pay attention to the silly layout on the photo, I was thinking it more like the way top command presents its data.

I don't know how easy or difficult it could be to implement something like that - its just an idea about a feature that I would find nice to have.

Thanks George!

Something similar is in my list, to get "info" from a particular site, but definitely having concentrated everything on a list, maybe it's a more "practical" approach.

I will put this as a reference to take a look in the future.

Regards.

Having an -info command for a specific site is certainly useful. But keeping an overview of all the installed sites would be something that most people would probably use more often. I believe that both functionalities should exist as they are complementary to each other.

The interesting thing with that is that it could start light and as time goes by people might post new ideas about things that would make sense to be displayed and it could evolve to a nice command-line "dashboard".

Thanks for considering it!

This feature (similar) has been released in v1.13.0.

  • sudo site -list
  • sudo example.com -info
Site list now includes more info and alerts for each site, and also we have advanced filters for this list. What do you think?

It's nice and definitely a great start!

It would look cleaner, though, if it had a tabular structure, like what you see when you run top, for example. I don't know how easy that would be to implement.

I assume that on future releases more info will be added to the site -list.

Also, is there any way that it could be depicted somehow the relationship between cloned sites? E.g. having the live, staging, and development grouped together somehow.

In terminal, the "table structure" is very inconvenient:

  • Domain name length is unpredictable.
  • Terminal window size can be resized and break everything.
That's why I thought in a more practical solution trying to achieve the same goal.
And yes, we will be improving and adding more info to these features. And no, cloned sites can not be grouped right now.
