So, would I be able to protect a subdomain of my main domain with httpauth, just like the wp-admin page ?

From the docs I understand (maybe wrongly) that it's possible with '-exact' ... however, I'm not able to get it to work, as it still asks me 'for a valid option' ...

Any ideas ?

Please, read the documentation before asking.

Use -path=/ to protect a complete site or domain.

It cannot be easier!

I did read the documentation. Otherwise, I wouldn't even have known that this was possible. -path=/ is probably for the root domain. Either I am dumb, or the documentation is not clear.
