The site was working without any issues, but suddenly started to get a connection refused message in the webbrowser when I try to access the site.

I already requested the person that handles the firewall to make sure that it's correctly configured and that policies hasn't changed but I was wondering if there is any way I can test this on linux.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Jorge,

This is usually caused by a misconfiguration in NGINX.

  • Check you Nginx configuration: sudo nginx -t
  • Check your access and error logs. Webinoly has a command to check your logs in real time: sudo log and sudo log -error. See if you find a clue.
Regards.

Hey there, by checking those commands I couldn't really get any insightful information, the nginx one game me the following output

nginx: the configuration file /etc/nginx/nginx.conf syntax is ok

nginx: configuration file /etc/nginx/nginx.conf test is successful

And the logs didn't include any error or warning.
With webinoly, how can I check that services are running? And which ports are available?
As mentioned, it was working correctly, I just did changes directly on WordPress so I didn't touch any configuration file or even WP configuration and suddenly it stopped working.
Thanks again

Firewall and active services are out the scope of Webinoly.

What firewall are you using?

To know what services are currently active use service --status-all, you can find this kind of answers very easily in Google.
