*UPDATE: When I removed the nginx welcome html from the server, I get a 403 Forbidden page.

Hi, I'm having trouble getting my site to work. I followed the installation instructions and everything seemed to install without problems on Google Compute Engine, but when I tried to access the website, instead of the Wordpress setup page, I get an nginx welcome page saying further configuration is required. When I do "webinoly -verify", the integrity test passes but it also says "[INFO] File: /etc/nginx/.htpasswd not found!". What should I do? I am using the IP address to access the site, if that makes a difference.

How I installed:

wget -qO weby qrok.es/wy && sudo bash weby 3
sudo site example.com -wp=default -cache

The page I get:

Welcome to nginx!

If you see this page, the nginx web server is successfully installed and working. Further configuration is required.

For online documentation and support please refer to nginx.org.
Commercial support is available at nginx.com.

Thank you for using nginx.

Everything seems fine.

Did you try to fix it?

Did you read the docs?

Tell us if you find something wrong.

If everything seems fine, please tell me how I can access the WP website. I am using the IP address to access the site, if that makes a difference. Any ideas?

When you create your WP site you used a domain, right?

So, there is where your WP site is.

Please, read and follow the examples shown in the docs.

I have not set up the domain yet. Will it work then and not with the IP?

Be careful, removing things is not the best way to solve these issues.

Change the default server in your Nginx conf to access using the IP.

Actually I renamed it. :) I added the IP to the symbolic link in /etc/nginx/sites-enabled. Is that okay too? It seemed to be pointing to the worpress setup address, now, but the browser's asking my for a username and password and giving me a 403 page afterwords. I'm guessing that's the HTTP authentication? I don't remember setting a password, though. Can you tell me where I can get or change that?

Ok and please, as I said before, read the docs, there you will find the HTTP auth and a lot more things...

I have read the docs. It doesn't tell me any of this. It just assumes the site would work right off the bat. Which docs are you referring to? It does tell me how to disable http auth, which I've done and the site now works! But it would be nice to know what the username and password is and how to reset it... Thanks for you help, though.
