What are you doing to improve Page Speed?

With Webinoly, we get a really fast webserver. But on top of that, what else are you doing to improve page speed (for the user, not for metrics)? Do you use performance plugins?

Just wondering what you guys are doing to speed your site up...

Hi, user and metric improvements are one and the same. If your site is faster, it is faster for everyone bot or human.

You should:

• Get a good server (Not just lot's of RAM for caching and dynamic users but also good network connection)
• Webinoly - with caching enabled after development (Don't forget to turn on Object Caching in the WP Backend also)
• Clean Code - Use Themes, Plugins that are clean and get web developers who know what they are doing, the fastest server will be brought down by bad software
• WordPress Speed Optimization
  • JS and CSS minification and merging
  • Async/Defer JS
  • Web font merging and inlining
