[ERROR] WordPress Multisite can not be cloned!

Question

Hi, I've searched the community and not found an answer for this, so hope someone can help or point me in the right direction.

I setup clean Webinoly server bout 18 months ago and setup WordPress as dev.website.com and then used Updraft to restore from a website that was originally part of a Multisite, but WordPress is not a Multisite now.

I then used -clone-from to create website.com and then deleted dev.website.com to save server space.

I am now trying to use sudo site dev.website.com -clone-from=website.com and get the following error [ERROR] WordPress Multisite can not be cloned!

I have checked the wp-config.php file and the db and cannot find anything that indicates website.com is a Multisite.

Server and Webinoly are up to date, I've tried -server-reset and have also rebooted the server, but still get the same error.

Any thoughts?

Webinoly sees your WP as Multisite because the DB still has multisite tables.

Checking the db I found wp_site was still there.
After removing it the -clone-from worked

But one questions - if Webinoly checks the db, how come I was able to clone the dev.website.com to website.com in the first place?

Because Multisite support for cloning was removed recently in v1.13.1, actually it was never supported, but we realize it should be blocked to prevent issues.
