Hello,

I was working on my site normally, troubleshooting an issue activating and deactivating plugins, but then I started receiving 504 errors when trying to visit the plugins page or update page. And also when trying to activate plugins.

In the error log I see:

[error] 61508#61508: *26537 upstream timed out (110: Connection timed out) while reading response header from upstream, client: 77.111.246.40, server: <domain>, request: "GET /wp-admin/plugins.php HTTP/2.0", upstream: "fastcgi://127.0.0.1:9000", host: "<domain>", referrer: "https://<domain>/wp-admin/"

Have you seen this before? The server is a fully updated Ubuntu 20.04

Thanks

Things are "magically" ok today. It must have been some external dependency related to detecting updates, because even changing servers or restoring backups didn't fix it at that moment. A technical member of my team tells me something like this happened to him like a month ago with another website when testing plugins and repeatedly clearing the caches... waiting solved it.

Has anybody had something like this happening?

It happened to me again in another website... about one hour giving 504 errors in the homepage (all other pages and the dashboard working ok), and then everything is back ok (homepage loading in less than 3 seconds)... also a fully updated Ubuntu 20.04

May be the object cache (Redis)?... sudo webinoly -clear-cache didn't fix the issue... but it seems strange it only affects specific pages...
