Since webinoly does not support subdirectory installation without multisite, I installed wordpress manually in a subdir.

I am using fastcgi cache and the subdir shares the same nginx virtual host with main domain. The cache in subdirectory is able to be updated when in a post or page is added new text even though I have not installed nginx helper plugin in wordpress subdirecoty?

For now things are going well. As you know more than me: should I install nginx helper plugin also in subdirectory?

Hi Mike,

Nginx-Helper is just "suggested" and optional. If you don't need it, just don't use it.

This plugins is suggested to try make the fastcgi cache more friendly for users. If you don't need the features that come with this plugin, you should not install it.

Regards.
